"Sleigh Ride" - популярная оркестровая пьеса, написанная известным американским композитором Лероем Андерсеном. Оригинальная идея композиции пришла в голову маэстро во время сильной жары июля 1946 года, однако работа над ней закончилась лишь в в феврале 1948 года. Текст на готовую мелодию был написан Митчел Периш в 1950 году. Первая вокальная версия композиции была записана и издана в 1950 году трио The Andrews Sisters. С тех пор она переиздавалась более 150 раз различными исполнителями среди которых Amy Grant (1983), Spice Girls (1996), Kenny G (1999) и Chicago (2003).

Примечательно, что в тексте самой песни нет прямого упоминания о Рождественских праздниках, напротив, упоминание тыквенного пирога в последнем куплете может помочь нам провести параллель с Днем Благодарения, однако, по данным по данным Американского общества композиторов, авторов и издателей (ASCAP), Sleigh Ride неизменно входит в первую десятку исполняемых песен во время рождественского сезона!
